Our goal is to provide each of our patients with convenient and efficient dental care by using a range of dental technology in our Victoria clinic.
Based on your specific oral health needs, your dental team may use one or more of the following technologies during your appointment with us.

Digital X-Rays
Our Digital X-ray system allows us to take clear images of your teeth and oral structures using much lower radiation levels than traditional camera-and-film X-rays.
Networked with our computer system, your X-ray images are available to you and the dentist as soon as they are taken. Digital storage and off-site backup mean no danger of lost or damaged X-rays.

Panoramic X-Rays
We are pleased to offer patients X-rays using the Planmeca ProOne all-around (panoramic) dental X-ray unit. Planmeca designed their fully digital Planmeca ProOne, a dental panoramic X-ray unit, with simplicity in mind.
The Planmeca ProOne side entry is designed to allow easy access for all patients; the X-ray exposure can be performed on a standing or a seated patient. When necessary, the patient may even remain seated in a wheelchair. In Planmeca ProOne, no mirrors are needed for patient positioning. Instead, the patient has an open and comfortable view, so for instance, a small child can see the accompanying adult at each stage of the exposure.

CEREC Same-Day Restorations
At Dental On Fort in Victoria, we offer Dentistry Powered by CEREC. This technology allows our dentists to place custom crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers more quickly than in the past, often in a single appointment.

VELscope Oral Cancer Screening Device
Our VELscope, a visible light tool, is used to aid in the early detection of cancerous lesions in your mouth. Using it at our routine checkups helps us to spot oral cancer early in its development stages.

Medical Grade Air Purification
Our Victoria clinic is equipped with the JADE air purification system that uses Surgically Clean Air’s multi-stage air purifying technologies to help clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air. This system's multi-stage filtration system is designed to capture dust particles, pollen, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), mould, allergens, viruses, odours (like formaldehyde and smoke), bio-aerosols, nitrous oxide, and many other pollutants that are found in the inside air in workplaces.

Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras can obtain images of the inside of your mouth. This technology is used as part of comprehensive oral exams and assessments of the health of the interior of your mouth.

Lisa Sterilizer
Our clinic's sterilization center includes a Lisa Sterilizer.
The Lisa is designed to offer an effective drying cycle to protect dental handpieces and instruments from corrosion and to prevent re-contamination.
The Lisa sterilizer dries materials in a post-vacuum cycle. Items are cool to the touch and can be safely removed for immediate patient use.

Our computer system is designed to help us track your treatment plan throughout your history with us. Each step we take in your care is tracked in a permanent record, providing our team with immediate access to all the information we need to maintain your lifelong quality of care.
